Te Atua- the gods

 

Last term we were learning the atua aka our gods like tumatauenga,tangaroa,tane mahuta,tawhirimatea,rongomatane, and haumia tikitiki.

Our learning assets were kaiwhakarite, whaiwhakaro, and kairangahau.

I found it easy to pronounce there name and speak it clearly or type.

I found it hard to use screen recording while everyone was in my class.

Next time I need to put more quality into my piece of work.

Yesterday and today me and my buddy Ashton were sorting comments on our slides to make a quality blogger comment.

I found it easy to find out the where the thumbs have to be placed because me and Ashton were talking together  with messages together to know which one is goes.

Our learning assets were mahi tahi kaikorero and whaiwhakaaro because we were explaining our thinking to each other and more mahi tahi we were helping each other out and for kaikorero we were asking questions to each other and communicating clearly to each other.p

Authors purpose - Reading

 

   We were learning about what Authors purpose is.

I found it easy to figure out the questions and answer them straight away.

Our learning assets were Kairangahau and Kaiwhakarite.

I found it hard to read the the text when it was small.

Copyright Challenge

 We were learning about copyright which is about people stealing something that's not there's online.

I found it easy to go to explore and get the images.

I found it hard to find the right size to cover the words.

I really enjoyed making this activity.

Next time I need to be focused and not be a little distracted.

Road safety

 

We were learning about being safe on the road and creating media.

Learning assets, we did mahi tahi and kaikorero because we were working together and making this as a team and we were sharing our ideas.

I found it easy to make the movie and edit it and do the real road safety rules and use the app called imovie to record it.

I found it hard to look for spots to fill our videos and record for the amount of time we had and to choose the font for our intro.

I enjoyed making the movie and doing mahi tahi with my friends and doing something fun outside.  I also like that we could use this movie to show people how to be safe on roads at Mangapapa.

Next time I need to be more happy and more focused.

Writing blog

 

For our writing we have been writing Narratives. We have been learning to add a great hook in or opening line to our writing and to start our sentences in different ways.

This week we also had to have a smile and alliteration in our writing. This slide shows my hook in, sentence beginnings, simile and alliteration.

We are using our Kaiwhakarite/Self Manager learning asset by reflecting on our learning.

Human Caterpillar

We were learning to be collaborators.  We had to make a human caterpillar in our groups using newspaper and tape.

I found it easy to to put the newspaper on.
I found it hard to find the tape and scissors.                I really enjoyed doing this activity and hope to do it better next time.

 

 We were learning to show whakaute our playground.

I found it easy to help take the photos and do the editing.

I found it hard to look for rubbish to pick up.

I really enjoyed doing this PB4L with my friends.

Next time I need to be focused and not be distracted.

Korowai Art

 We were learning about maori korowai.

I found it easy to glue the feathers.

I found it hard to figure out the patterns.

I really enjoyed working as a group and helping each other.

Next time I need to pay attention and don't get distracted.

Triathlon

 We were learning about working as a team and never giving up.

I found it easy to try and pass the other bikers.

I found it hard to bike on the grass.

I really enjoyed racing and having fun.

Next time I need to speed up and try harder.
